Changed hit effects of Plaguecrawlers, and the nearby monsters.

3. Things that are being worked on:
Implementing the Vacor/Unzel continuation quest.
Main timer bug: - If no movement happens on a round, then the code for refreshing the UI is never called.

4. Discussion of some forum threads/posts:
Damage Resist needs balance? re: Topic. - Will look at in detail during major battle system revamp.
New “Unique” item class? re: Topic. - Will do that, at the same time as the categorization of the items.
kerasi submitted maps/quests re: Topic. - Will look into finishing/implementation in the future.

5. What should we have ready for the next meeting?
Oskar: Code the Kaverin quest in the game.
Alpha version this week!
Tentatively book a mini-meeting for next weekend. Scott book meeting #6.

Brainstorm / future stuff:
“Dragon Slayer Quest” - A Matthew and Scott co-production will start after v0.6.11 release. Thanks scottdog for the idea.
Create a document with what the main story will be about.
We should discuss how to handle the situation of potions being available from merchants after you return to the merchant. Should they instantly re-fill or should there be some timer?
Discuss how to represent the magnitude / duration on the icons in the lower right corner.
Discuss how we should handle triggering actor effects while in combat.
“Feebleminded” actor condition - removes experience or lowers exp rewards.

[im thinking you meant scottdogg, right?]

yeah, he had sent me a few messages...
and he said you wanted in!!! (i also saw the post)

it will be great to work with you again.

:D

i have the Doc started, but it's not finalized.
when it is, i will grant you access (that will send you an email link too)

at first im just gonna post his notes,
from there we can trim the fat & keep things moving.

Scott (sdevaney) is also very interested in this one,
he messaged me about it shortly after it was posted - keen on the idea of making it happen.

this should be fun!

:D

C'mon Guys!! There are errors in the tables. You've got daggers and potions and stuff that have data in the wrong categories, and I don't see anyone going back into the SVN to fix them. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure some of the new stuff that hasn't been published yet has errors which were copy and pasted from the old stuff. I'm also pretty sure I spotted some errors in some of the other tables.

Step 1) FIX OLD STUFF

Step 2) Work on new stuff.

Wait..
Step 1b) Publish a patched version to Android Market. ^^

Oh yeah.. Love the game, minus the errors. :) I actually joined the forum to submit bug reports, but I figured it would be really annoying to have a bunch of bug reports for formatting errors that could be fixed in a matter of minutes. ;)

Can you be more specific, and give examples of what you see as an error?

Well, I could publish the spreadsheets I created from the tables if you like. Basically, I pasted the data, froze the first three columns, and used that as my raw dataset. Perhaps the column labels need to be re-done? At any rate this is what I see..

Most of the old items_consumables have what I assume should be the hasUseEffect listed in the use_boostAP_Min column, with everything listed after apparently in the wrong columns as well. This appears to have started with Blackwater Brew, then got copy and pasted down the rows.

We see similar weirdness with Chaosreaper, Izthiel claw and Shadowfang, with the Shadowfang hasHitEffect also being one column off. I'm quite certain that either Chaosreaper or Shadowfang MUST be wrong.

Sword of Shadow's rage and Blackwater poisoned dagger also appear to have 'broken' effects. ..assuming that Barbed dagger is the correct one.

All of the new potions..er items_consumables, display the same anomaly.

What tipped me off was seeing numbers listed in the Close Bracket column --> ]
I saw that, and I was like.. Hmm.. what is this doing here?

I did notice similar things in other tables, but my main goal was to create spreadsheets I could use to compare damage and etc., so I didn't keep exact notes of where everything was 'out of sorts'. I figured you guys would be on top of it, but then I read these meeting notes and figured I had better say something. ;)

In other news, I have discovered the hidden benefits of the Blackwater set, but I'll keep it under my hat for the time being. ;)

Actually we did discuss it and we chalked it up to an error when converting the xml document into whatever spreadsheet program was used.

The xml documents import/export just fine into and from the editor.
