*NOTE* - This was a quick mini-meeting to discuss a few pressing issues before the v0.6.11 alpha release. The normal meeting will still happen next week.
1. What things should be ready for alpha?
The following things should be completed before we release v0.6.11 alpha1:
Priority 1:
At least two new high-level skills for players that do not focus on critical hits.
At least one minor quest with Unzel and/or Vacor.
Updated translations (issue 298, 300)
Fix bug with selling items
Priority 2: (to do while in alpha)
The “about” text
Keyboard conversation issue
Double monster info screen
2. Current status of listed priorities:
New high-level skills
*NOTE* - Skills that are in bold and underlined are intended for release in v0.6.11. Others are possibilities for the future.
Rejuvenate: Every six seconds (or one round) there is a 25% chance of being relieved of one order of magnitude for one Actor Condition (at random). Prerequisites: Two levels in each of the three resistance skills.
Reflection: 10% - 50% damage reflection
Hermetic [or] Alchemist / Chemist: Increased effect of potions (1.25x - 1.75x)
Shield Spell skill that raises your BC by 50% (absolute, not of your existing value) if/when your HP falls to/below 25% of your base HP, for 2 combat turns-rounds/level of Shield Spell.
“Taunt” or "Duck"(unsure about the name): On all attacks against the player that miss, there is a 20% chance that the attacker loses 2AP. Skill has only 1 level available. Prerequisite: Evasion level 2 & Dodge level 4.
Concussion: If the player’s AC is at least 50 higher than the target’s BC, all successful attacks will have a 10% chance of inflicting the effect “Concussion”. Concussion gives -30AC. Skill has only 1 level available. Prerequisite: Speed level 2, Weapon chance level 3, Weapon damage level 5
Continuation quest with Vacor/Unzel
TODO: Matthew leads the implementation during this week, to finish up the conversations. Use Oskar for input.
The "About" screen:
All info is in place just needs to be coded.
Updated translations:
Submitted to SVN. Oskar needs to finalize.
Keyboard usage issues:
Problem 1: there is a visible background behind the conversation text when you use the physical keyboard buttons.
Problem 2: the arrow buttons do not always work the same way.
This behaviour was not present in the released v0.6.10 version (but was present in one of the alpha versions). Maybe it’s a focusing issue?
