I've always been intrigued by the existence of the Giant Hammer.
Although it is technically a weapon, it is "prolly" one of the most useless one.

With an Attack Cost of 10, only a 5% increment of Attack Cost and a respectable 4-7 Attack damage, I am hard pressed to find a good reason to use it. Methinks you are better off using no weapon at all instead of using it.

I had this idea that perhaps it had an ulterior use, such as to crack open the cadaver tombs/graves. But no cigar. I wonder if it's in the cards for a later version.

Wow, I never really noticed that one before, but yeah AP cost of 10 is really high, even with the Jewel of Fallhaven, and Combat Speed 2 + speed potion (Max AP 14, AP cost of 9), the only way you can hit with it twice is if you have Cleave but you'd need 2 levels of it for that. It should definitely have a higher AC & AD to make it worth it.

Although using no weapon is actually pretty high on the "good weapons" list because if you already have enough AC from base and other equipment, its like the Quickstrike dagger but without the -20% BC.

As far as high cost but hard hitting weapons go, I like the Gut Splitter (the name helps too ).

Yes, It can be done without potions and saving I just tested

I'll have to try that GH challenge...off to buy the Giant Hammer so I can smash stuff

Edit: tried it and couldn't even make it through once. Since my AD isn't high enough to one-hit kill, and I didn't have the Regeneration or Corpse Eater skills, I was relying on Shadow Regeneration, I didn't even get past the henchmen at the beginning of the caves.

Have to try again another time.
