Pivotal Quest Notifications

So far in AT there are some quests that are pretty much straight forward, no questions asked kinda deal (killing the big rat for his tail in the supply cave).
Others make you stop and think, what will be the repercussions if I do this? (Vacor vs Unzel, Prim vs BWS?)
If not sooner, I think it would be great if the final version had more transparency about when you are making an important decision, and what the realm of impacts will be. I'm not saying it should give anything like a list of pro's con's head of time, just some sort of hint if a decision you are making will come back to make a difference 10-20-+ levels in the future.

I'd rather not know potential pros and cons. However I hope that the game will not force you do not become trapped in always being on a particular side. If I chose Prim at first I don't want to always forced into supporting Prim.
I also feel guilty about those sheep

I agree completely.
As I said I'm not asking for a cheat sheet with every decision you make to let you weight the pro's and con's ahead of time. Not everyone will want that, but those who do care enough to research that much detail can come to the great forums and get tons of help.
What I want more addresses your fear of being "trapped". All I want is some sort of fairly direct cue to the player so we know when a quest will have future repercussions (not what they will be) just a little warning that what you are doing for this quest might have more of an impact than meets the eye.
i.e.
"your completing this quest will impact future quest options"
not
"If you complete this quest you will get X items and Y Gold, but by not completing this quest you will get Z other item, and 2,000 Experience"

do you think something as simple as a disclaimer could work?
something along the lines of the welcome screen - when you run the game the 1st time
Oskar's mesage currently says stuff about the game not being done... etc.
maybe we can add something for new players, informing them that the game is based on choices
im sure the title screen will get some love before final version release
im hoping it will have a "controls" description & an easy way to access this increidble forum
maybe the description of the game could change,
hinting at the fact that there are reactions to your choices in story..
not only informing - but inspiring viewers
i dont think that we need to make evil choices red, or good choices blue...
because this game has a simple charm with GREAT implications
and if you dont like your initial choices, you can start over
i will play thru both ways - cause i love the game!
so you lose 20 levels, angry birds wont take you down a trail like Andor's

Well said Nyktos...how is that cleave 2 working out? Two levels away from it myself.
On topic....I believe that this is part of the "rogue-like" description of the game. I have become too atttached to my current character that I am a little nervous and excited about the next release and the new decisions I get to make...this time without the help and guidance of all the players before me from this forum.

If you are truly afraid of being trapped, do what Samuel does and stay neutral. Simply don't complete the moral quest like Samuel does.

I'm not worried about being trapped per se, I just think the game will be more fun if my character is a free agent.
I realise choices made will necessarily change some things or options, particularly in the near term, but on the long term quest to find Andor I'd like to be able to be flexible in future choices.

fun as a neutral agent?
as it stands - it looks as if good (not quite holy) vs. bad (not quite evil)
possibly a third, neutral path to follow?

I'm hoping there could also be a "changing sides" option down the line.

Well not neutral as tek describes Samuel above, which sounds more like indecision

, but certainly not a die-hard Feygardian or Norian, for example.
I'd like to be able to aid or hinder either side in the future, whilst accepting some options will always be closed and others may require some trust-building efforts to overcome a previous choice.
The game seems to have that flavour already, I think.
