First of all, I would like to say hello to everyone, since I'm new :D

Like topic says, in my opinon both of these rares are not good enough, and still the best armor in the game is the leather armor with 1 damage resistance. They should be buffed.

I see you use a crit weapon. I think you will find you much prefer the Villain's Leather Armour once you find it.

welcome to the forum! :D

im with you, still wearing the hard leather after all this time!
for a period, i did use the villains...
but i felt the DR better complimented my build.

criticals are sweet, so i can see the logic of building past what i have...
but i would rather see some decent DR armor before seeing better crit armor.

If anyone is wondering what the stats are for both the items in question:

Stone Cuirass
Extraordinary
Category: Wearable (body)

When Equipped
Attack Cost(AP): 2
Block Chance: 22%
Damage Resistance: 1

Wolfpack's Animal Hide
Extraordinary
Category: Wearable (body)

When Equipped
Attack Chance: -15%
Block Chance: 2%
Damage Resistance: 1

i went with stone cuirass for short time :P
i think if the AP +2 is lessened to 0 or 1 it is worth wearing.

Of course if it was at 0, it would be the best armour available.

With the Jewel Of Fallhaven it is technically reduced to 1, but that still doesn't make it worthwile to wear IMO.

This is not true. Try it. Thought that with the jewel + 2 skills in AP, and using the ELyR which gives +2 AP, and use the stone curias, I would get 3 attacks per round. It doesn't work that way.
ELyR AP is 5, -1AP from jewel, makes it 4. Now add +2 from stone curias makes 6 Ap /round.

I'd still take Villain's Leather Armour over it all day.
