Glitch!!! - Mass resurrection of NPC / Unique monsters

post contains info about all quests in v0.6.10
While grinding for the GoLF i was using the Bjorgur's crypt as my 'safe room' to await my 3 minutes. after a regular run to the cave door and back i found the graverobber had re-spawned?? checked the kazul shrine and the guardian had returned also. it seemed all these monsters and NPC's just came back.
to confirm i went to flagstone prison but the effect had not happened there or the snake cave.

on investigation i found that on the mountain the
graverobber
kazul guardian
guthbert
BWM agent (mountain guide) - all locations
BWM guard (inner sanctum)

had all come back, also northward i found that the
strong larval burrower
creature beneath the crossroads guardhouse (cant recall the name)
river troll
rogorn
rogorns bodyguards?
iqhan Boss (cant recall the name either)

checking elsewhere to confirm details also found
maelveon

but the wolf cave had no pack leader. this is all i got to so far and have yet to check thoroughly for any others who are back.
all of these had been killed or talked away however rogorn (who i killed) now only says "thank you for listening to our side of the story" however his followers were hostile with only fight dialogue available.
all of these characters/monsters dropped their loot again also, most being quest items.
none of the quests have reset as far as i can tell

not quite sure what happened but was a quick way to gain a level for my guy.

i reported a similar problem, except everything respawned.
i was flying thru screens, it lagged then FC'ed = respawn
craziness i tell you...

It has been reported several times, but no one could reproduce it for sure, right?
Looks like nothing can be done then.

I guess just consitter yourself lucky on this one. I wish i could go kill everyone once again. :lol:

I have never has this reproduced from my game(s).

I think that the maxim "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" has a corollary: "If you can't figure out how it's broke, you can't fix it." And, please, no comments on the grammar.

Thats the approach i decided to go with. Wish i could have figured it out though to provide useful feedback.
Sorry but I cant pinpoint exactly how it happened.

now just need to impliment a dual weapons skill so i can get full benifit of my 2 DotSP. lol.

just re-read what i wrote and realised i forgot to add something.
when the game glitched everything i had dropped (pile of rocks at RoLS cave, bone path through dark kazul cave) also dissapeared.
not sure if it helps or not just more info on what happened.

This just means that the map data has been reset to default (we knew that already.)

I believe the following happens:
1) There is something [we must know what this is] that corrupts the map data.
2) The game notices that the map is invalid. [perhaps we could check the source where this happens, what the rules are and how they could be violated.]
3) The map data is removed.
4) Default values for all maps are generated. [including respawn of all unique monsters, respawn of all non unique monsters (you asked for this several times ;-) - its already there :-D ), drops are removed, standard drops are initialized (containers)]

In your case it seems like not all maps are affected from the reset.
