New Skill - Last Stand

"Last Stand"
when you take lethal damage...
you have a small chance (5% per point / max 20%?) to cling to life [1HP]
example: you have 3 HP and take 4 damage
the skill takes effect & keeps you @ 1HP
possible prerequisites: bark skin & evasion

What happens when you get hit a second time when at 1HP? You die right?
What happens when you fall below 0HP by more than -1? I.e. you are @ 3HP and get hit for 5HP?
What are the odds that you get hit for one more HP than you have left? Not high enough to benefit from this skill I would think.

Great idea! I like this one!
The functions of how it works exactly would need to be tweeked a bit to make it fit into gameplay better.

indeed, balance must be maintained...
there are quite a few ways to go about this
it could be heavily overpowered, or almost useless if kept weak.

great idea.
if its a "last stand" what about the whole last chance hail mary pass?
like +50%CC (on existing CC) but a penalty to BC say -50%BC (on existing BC) due to the frantic nature of the strikes.
could be for anytime under 5hp and only 1-2 skill point to go on skill??
or anything really just seems if the little dude was as keen on saving his brother as i am he would give it everything he had until his final breath.

No, there is again a 10% (lets assume the Last Stand chance is at 10%) chance to survive the second hit.

If you get the Last Stand effect you would still have 1 HP even if you had 10 HP and got hit for 90 HP.

For example: With a Last Stand chance of 50%. You would have a 25% chance to survive 2 bad hits. (IMO this would be far too high)
I think 20% seems to be a good value.

BTW: IMO this is one of the skills really worth implementing. (I have no other proposed [perhaps beside berserk] skill in mind that I would really like to implement - perhaps I forgot something > point me there)

if it's going to be "last stand" i like this. combine the idea with nyks.
say, when you are within 10% of your HP dead, you get a (midling)bonus to AC, but a (major) penalty, to BC.
giving you one awesome desperation shot, at winning.
i wish i'd had something like this during the 20 or so trys it took me to get past that troll on the bridge.
