I've also attacked when trying to use a Bonemeal Potion in that little quick use thing. What I'd really like is a chime or warning or something that you could set to go off when you get to a certain HP. I know that may not be realistic, but when you save/load a lot, what's the difference, really? Actually, a warning you'd have if you were really the character; the ability to save and load you would not...

or some other form of visual indication...

Could the HP bar vary in colour Green, amber then red when it gets low?
Its really very minor because we all monitor our HP and know when we've been hit for a lot of damage.

good idea, but then i'd want the XP bar to be blue, or something that didn't blend in with amber so well.

Why is the decresing of the HP bar's fill line not sufficient enough? The fill line (aka where the bar goes from red to gray)

Yep can't argue with that.Why fix what ain't broke.

Because some of us like to play under the table at work when boring people are talking and a quick glance to see a lack of neon green HP would be an easy way to know it's time to suck down a BMP.
