"Trip odometer" for experience...

Thought it would be cool if there was an experience measurement tool similar to the trip odometer on your car that you could reset at will to make it easier to test an area's experience payout. Anyone agree? Is it possible?

Just thought of another cool idea of something that could be added. Instead of your character icon lighting up white when you can level, it should light up different colors to let you know how many times you can level, possible in an easy to remember pattern, say: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and then cycle back to red (it would be obvious if you could level once or 7 times, twice or 8 times etc.)

are you saving levels for the next update?
this would be the only reason to save levels...

otherwise - burn it off when you get it...
rough game, i'll take every point i can get... anywhere! 8-)

i dont think there should be programming for BETA players {color coded leveling}
let him work on the final product instead

just my thoughts...

@CR - im glad you said what was on your mind... we need MORE of that here.

I don't know that it'll pay off like it did last time, but I saved levels before this update and had 1.6 million experience to burn which gave me tons of free health with Fortitude 4. I like to "feel" a difference when I level, so I've been saving levels between skill points (i.e. I level 4x in a row and then spend my skill point). The trip odometer would be way more useful. If they only do one of these, I hope it's that.

i should put this in [Ideas & Development]

but you made me think of this here...
how about a visual counter for the turns?

So you know how much longer you'll be taking damage from effects? Should each icon have a tiny counter next to it perhaps?

exactly, i could think of muliple ways to implement this...
a counter... shading on the icon <or> an icon referring to the first Active Condition that will wear off... etc.
it would be ''nice'' - but it's not ''needed''

i could also see something like this causing LAG, making it a terrible idea.
IDK, just some thoughts... 8-)
