What do you mean by "disable the view of them"? Do you mean simply click thechest to minimize the slots?

To get the best effect you should unequip all your potions from the quick slots, you are going to need to use items thru the menu instead.

This is what I found helps alot.

My DROIDX doesn't display any of these lag issues that many of you have described so un-assigning my quick slots doesn't displayany ma jor performance increases.

LG Optimus S - cheap phone!

only lags when on instant speed & no loot shown...
even then, only when i mash too quickly.

but, un-equipping did resolve the issue...
i can even get away with having one slot filled & still NO LAG

so i can use my chosen potion, and still have reduced lag.

Yes. Minimizing is the better word for it.
It seems to have a small benefit. The big benefit comes from unequipping the quickslots.

I agree. It does seem to help alot (even more by unequipping)

seriously, you can leave one potion on the quick slot...
and still rid yourself of that wretched lag.

at least on this phone...
