Frustrated and stuck

I'm level 27 and I was pretty much cruising around and grinding. That was until I met this tool who lead me up a mountain. I got beat up pretty bad but using bonemeal and such I made it up to his village. Once there, all I got was a few quests. I couldn't buy health, weapons, or armor and now I can't make it back down the mountain. Even when I die I land in a cabin in the mountain that I can't battle my way down from. What do I do?

Good luck. I have heard several people fall to this phenomenon. I had read to leave it for higher lvls but some had attacked it while still in their teens. Feeling as my character was invincible I attacked it at lvl 17. Fortunately for me I managed to get back down without too much trouble. I dodged everything I could. I then stocked up with heaps of bonemeal and made a serious attempt at lvl 21ish.

Yeah, I got stupid and overconfident thinking my character can take it I would be at the top soon. I made it up fine but used almost all of my bonemeal and other healing potions. I can dodge most of the baddies but some paths have baddies that don't move.

Well, after doing some grind, rest, repeat at the respawn cabin on the mountain I leveled up once (added +5 to AC) and got enough healing potions to fight and dodge my way to the city of Prim. It really wasn't as difficult as I expected.

Thanks for the advice! I guess I know now to check my healing potions and make sure I don't go beyond that "turn back point".

Some part of this game are really difficult. I used something like 400 regular potion when played Prim and BMV quests.

I do not understand how people get stuck. I have played 2 separate files and never got stuck, and I have never stocked up with loads of potions. I just made it down the mountain from the cabin at level 14 with no healing items at all
