once you have edited the open source, what do you do with it? D: i have mucked about with some things and i want to actually have the changes appear in game, what's my next step?

You recompile it and upload it to your device, and now you can play your own personalized version of the game... Although you should not post stats for the highscore list if you do this.

Check around on the project homepage... It'll have instructions on how to set up the compiler and stuff

You need to compile a new apk in eclipse or your preferred Java IDE.

You can submit patches via the Google Code page.

i finally got hex editor working, and loaded my file, does anyone know what i need to edit in the save to increase gold and stuff like that? a few pointers would be nice (:

Although most won't say it that way, many of the louder members here frown on 'cheating', and won't help you 'get ahead in an unfair way'.

This is an open source project, your more than welcome to edit your save. It only affects your personal play, and only for that save.

Things are written in simple terms, search for things like gold, exp, or your character name, etc.
