Hey, I paid my dues for those 4 rings! In fact, I paid my dues for all 4 before I even got the first of them. After months of grinding, I quit with 7,501 small rocks (equal to 30,000 kills) to wait for the skill points with the update. Then with 2 levels of magic finder, it still took another 1257 rocks (5000 kills, equivalent to 2500 rocks and 10,000 kills with no MF) before the first ring finally dropped. Then I had a run of fantastically good luck and had two complete sets of L&E items very quickly. I decided to push my lucky streak, and have 4 complete sets except for two more RoLs needed. I have given up on them for now.
Anyway, that first ring finally dropped just a few weeks into my term as president of this club, as had Pyrizzle's (also after a long grind that prompted him to create the club.) The immediate past president, Somerat, held the presidency quite a while before getting his ring; but that does not necessarily mean that the "president's luck" is all gone. Give it a try and see! Apply now!

Anyone else wanting to throw their hat in the ring??

The sad part is that I am looking forward to getting small rocks now. When I started playing again I had between 800 and 900. I tossed 3 points into MF and now I am up to 1240 and still no ring. I hope I will never reach lady black's record of rocks and no rings, cause I think I would go insane. Or probably not because I think I am already there. Yes I am active in my quest for the RoLS, and so far I have gone up 3 levels, so that's the plus side........
