Relatively late on posting here. But here we go.
My name has 3 references.
First is the song Mr.Jack by System of a Down. It's my favorite song by them.
Second is Fight Club. ie. "I am Jacks' colon, i get cancer, i kill Jacks."
Third is the most personal. I have multiple personality disorder. Anyone who knows about it knows that their is usually what is considered a "dominant" personality. It's usually the strongest. Oddly enough, i'd technically be considered the "recessive" personality, yet i'm the main personality. Therefore, i'm MrJacksEnigma. I'm part of him, not the other way around.

Thought I'll resurrect this post, since there are so many new users in the forum, including me..

There's not much story or thought behind my username.. I was reading this article about Bazookas while signing up, so I just added the "zooka" suffix to my RL nickname Koni.. hence Konizooka.

P.S Great Topic Tek! Unique Usernames indeed!! :D

Konizooka,

Thanks for resurrecting this thread! It is neat to go back and read the posts. My name is from an online game I was beta testing back in the 90’s (yes we had the internet back then). It was an awesome game called SubSpace and it was entirely live online. We all had 28k or 56k modems and "lag" was a big part of the game. Players would sometimes fade in and out, or the game would pause and then suddenly speed up. So I created a character called Laggh, and whenever the game spazzed out, I would take credit (a fun part of the game was the live "taunting" as there was a text scroller on the screen). Anyways, I just liked the name Laggh and used it from then on. The game was bought by Virgin, went public, and died shortly after. It is still around on some dedicated private servers, but the glory days of hundreds of people battling in a live arena are gone… Oh, my AT avatar is a Warbird, my favorite ship from SubSpace.

Hope you all have a great day (or night - depending on time zone)!

Alright guess I will throw mine in as well.

When I joined the Marine Corps I was assigned as an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter or ARFF (like a dogs bark). Marines are also called Devil Dogs, so our group became known as Firedogs. 7051 is the MOS ID (Military Occupational Specialty). So I became Firedog7051 (Also my PSN ID add me). Since most places will not allow that many characters I dropped the dog part and took up Fire7051.

Interesting name, and thanks for your service to our country.

Thank you for your service Fire! :D

I am fond of anagrams. The following are all anagrams of my real life name (and I use many of them as online nicknames):
Slip Eternal
Eternal Lips
Neater Spill
Paint Seller
Splinter Ale
...
There are many interesting anagrams of my name. I like Slip Eternal as my real life first name has only four letters.

I use only1doug as my online username for many things as Doug is often already taken on forums and I had no desire to be Doug99883476 or whatever.

Simple, unique and easy to remember.
