You should never be discouraged from asking for help, they know what their talking about. Trust me. I beat the Iqhan cave just before hitting 30. The boss on the other hand has some very debilitating status effects and is substantially harder to beat. At lvl 30 you have to keep reloading until you manage killing the boss before being inflicted with an effect. The chances? slim, but quite doable.

If you call that yelling from Zukero, you haven't seen nothing yet. Don't let it phase you, but respect the no bumping rule. It's a strong pet peeve of this community. That's it. You are what you make of this community, don't sell yourself short Lady. Edit: Btw, i like reading ur comments, they have spunk. Keep it up.

Do you imply that I often yell ?

@Lady Drager I may have misinterpreted your tone as a passive aggressive way of insisting on getting help. I read somewhere that 40% of the emails are misinterpreted in terms of tone. I'm just trying to keep this a friendly place for everyone. I'm no good at giving players help, as I'm not very good at the game myself, but some members have an insight that's beyond my comprehension, and many check the forums daily, basically to give help. Just let time do its magic. As a rule of thumb, I'd suggest waiting 24 to 48 hours for a personalized advice. It may be faster, or it may be never...

this is an excellent point, texting, emails & posting - they are really easy to misinterpret.
im fully aware of this phenomenon, yet i still find myself reminding myself of it.
paired with how passionate some of us are about the project,
things can escalate like Facebook drama...

well said, and sometimes i'm reluctant to give advice because skills are hard to come by & everyone plays differently... i would hate to give "bad advice" and have a player regret taking a Skill i recommended.

that had to just be a fluke, i actually wanted to get back on last night...
unfortunately, i got tied up again - even after saying i had gotten busy.

on a different day, i could see that question getting bombed by people who think they knew best!
this forum has been dead for awhile but it's starting to pick back up. although - there are going to be dead spaces.
right now, the dead spaces are when im not busy & the board comes to life when i have stuff to do.
i think having a handful of active members is all we need to get this place going again.

stuff like this happens online all the time, but it's quite rare here.
i'm proud of how the community has grown & would encourage you to give it another shot!

That's not possible. He can inflict Chaotic curse and Chaotic grip, but neither stack. So the most you can lose is -1 AD, -20% BC, -1 DR, and -1 AP. Which isn't good, but it's not as bad as you suggest.

Edit: I just realized he can inflict Chaotic grip x 7 and Chaotic curse x 3. I had forgotten just how much of a baddy he is

There is no single skill that will make it possible to kill him with impunity. You should take both levels of Combat speed asap. You currently get 3 attacks per round, but with CS2 you will get 4 attacks per round. In your case that's an additional 18-24 damage, which is very good value for 2 skill points.

You may not like it, but I suggest hit and flee. I use it frequently, and it's very effective (this is why I have 3 levels of the Evasion skill). You can grind down a real baddy if you are patient. If he inflicts you with bad effects, hide in a corner until they go away (although in that chamber there is nowhere to hide where the chaos beasts never go. However, if you exit the door and turn right, the corner is safe). You will also regenerate HP when doing that, but he will not.

We are all in different time zones, and can not always be available for the forums. If you post at 9AM, I'm just heading out for lunch. In the afternoon I have work to do, and can only spend limited time on the forums (which I shouldn't be doing now, but I'm my own boss

). If you post in your evening, those in Europe have likely gone to bed. If you post late in the evening, I have too. Some patience is required.

Posting a new question to a new thread may help too. If you post to an existing thread people may get notified (depending on their email settings), but if there is a second post to the same thread there will be no new notification.

First, let me point out that I had failed to mention the exceptions to my statements. Those being nyktos and rijackson. That said, I do know it would take some time to get responses. I base my reactions on the individuals and their apparent behavior thus far. Thus, when someone doesn't remain consistent I tend to get a bit annoyed. But when that happens I use humor to calm myself down so I can think clearly. So yes, Zukero, you were partially correct in that it did FEEL something along those lines as you had assessed, but I was NOT reacting on it.

Yeah it was a pain! He killed me in two rounds EVERY time!

I had saved just before hitting the level up button. Then I levelled up, fought him, died then reload and tried a different approach. At first I figured maybe a resistance to his chaos effects might help. but the 10% just wasn't cutting it. Then I tried Dodge, that didn't help either. Mind you, both times I increased my block chance. The third time, however, I raised BC, and took Evasion (1) for the express purpose of attempting the save & reload. But when I fought him... I guess I got lucky?... HE died in two rounds!

This statement was caused by all registered users suddenly left IMMEDIATELY after I posted my question. The implied feeling was felt and was irrational, but in my defence: I'm a woman! LOL.

good to hear you took that guy out!

i like Evasion, not just for hit & run tactics...
but to be in better control of initiating battle
and avoid battle altogether when traveling.

you're going to like Combat Speed 2, without question...
those are two of the skills i take early (updated my sig with my current character).

I would also like to apologize for any repeating posts. I'm sharing a neighbor's wifi (yes he's aware of it... the twins can be very persuasive

) and he downloads a lot of torrents. So my browser doesn't always show that a post has gone through. I see a lot of "Connection has timed out", "Can't find server" & lost connections.
