Otherwise, there's about a 10-level gap right now where a character is strong enough to have completed the Prim Mine and Ratdom, but not quite strong enough to set out for Sullengard. (I haven't tried the new quests in the beta yet — perhaps they help fill the gap.)
I disagree about the gap as that is what the Haunted Forest is there for.
The new beta content will not fill in this proclaimed gap

I find the haunted forest harder than Sullengard (or at least, I did in the past).

Hour 25: RIP Epsi at level 47 permadeath

Completed a few of the Sullengard quests, but then got cornered by snakes in a situation I should have been able to avoid easily and didn't swallow potions early enough.

Oh well. I got lucky two previous times, level 47 is the furthest I've taken a permadeath character, and the risk is what makes AT fun (I find it very dull playing with save/restore).

Thanks, everyone for reading.

My respect again for anyone playing permadeath. I don't have the patience for it....
But I can recommend "unlimited lives, 1 save". No save scamming possible too. I prefer to loose thousands of XP vs loosing everything. You play different in that mode too.

Thanks! I'll wait until the current beta goes to prod before starting a new character. I don't know if I'll keep them Feygard-aligned (spying on the Thieve's Guild), or go back to a loyal thief with Shadow leanings.
