It would still be way overpowered even if it was a one time skill.
You would be spending skill points and then getting the points back in the end, thus allowing you to learn skills w/o having to really invest the points. You'd only spend 1 Skill point to gain 3 skills in the end.
yes the skills are not the most useful, but they would be free/cheap and who wouldn't take something that's free/cheap.

Yes, money will be even more important for a bit since there will be skills that you can learn by hiring someone to teach you.

About time, after buying the powerful eq at low level, not really needed money besides buying some BMP. Already at 350k and gaining around 15k per level, because money is totally useless right now...

The problem is, since many of them have 6-10 prerequisite skills, it might not seem worth the looong grind (if you're already high level and it takes longer to level up), and I thought this might encourage more higher level players to go for those skills. I suspect even if you used each "easier to get" (relatively speaking of course) skill point on just Quick Learner, you'd still get diminishing returns.
An additional 50 skill points can be turned into an additional 250% boost in XP (on top of whatever you already have) if it is all invested in Quick Learner.
If something like this would added IMPO a cap would needed to be added to many of the skills, including quick learner.
I still say "who does it hurt if someone else wants to put all their skill points into Quick Learner?"
If someone were to do that, they would be missing out on some very fun skills and I don't even think someone like me or Samuel would put all our skill points into just Quick Learner, but again, it doesn't affect my game or my enjoyment of it if someone were to do that.

I don't know if any of you are familiar with Everquest (MMORPG) but it had an "Alternate Advancement" (AA) system, initialy this was used when players hit maximum level but it was eventually modified to be a scalable choice, the player decided how much of the XP earned went into levelling and how much went into AA points.
It would be good if we could adjust the ratio of skillpoints to levels in Andors Trail, so the player decides whether to put xp into gaining levels or gaining skillpoints, or which percentage to split it at.
