fiernaq wrote:Heh, Rat Lover is awesome. I definitely like achievements of that nature - ones that you wouldn't normally get just by playing the usual way or even by grinding. Achievements should be special, not the norm. I do not like the "It's just a tail" achievement for that same reason. Who wants to sit there and grind out 10,000 snakes?
Other possible achievements:
Got Lost
Reach Remgard before level 20
Undecided
Don't help Prim or Blackwater until level 50
Window Shopper
Purchase at least 1 of every vendor sold piece of equipment
Tactical Retreat
Flee from a combat when you have only 1 HP remaining
That Tickles
Survive 25 rounds of combat with the same monster
Condition This!
Apply 10 positive or negative conditions to either yourself or an enemy during a single combat (Passive conditions such as Shadow Regeneration do not count)
+1 I love you ideas! achievements without anything to do with the game.

I really like the idea of having achievements!
My question is (haven't bothered looking through all the posts of years past due to lack of time);
Should there be a rewards-system for them? Xp, gold, additional SP, titles (<my favorite) or other?
It would be fun to be able to add a title to your character from certain achievements, e.g.
{Insert Name} the Shadow Slayer (Opposing the Shadow Faction)
{Insert Name} the Diseased (Getting Food Poisoned one too many times)
{Insert Name} the Barter (Maxing out the Merchant-skill)
{Insert Name} the Scholar (Assigning 10 points in the Quick Learner-skill)
{Insert Name} the Spoilt (Purchasing items for a total of 500K-1M)
{Insert Name} the Untouchable (Reach 250 BC)
{Insert Name} the Nimble (Maxing out the Evasion-skill)
{Insert Name} the Invulnerable (Maxing out the Bark Skin-skill)
...And so forth!
Not that it brings anything actually useful to the name, I'd say it would be a nice touch!

he then told us the game is keeping track of a lot of stats that we don't see!
- -how many times we die
-how many enemies we kill
-what types of enemies we kill
-things we buy
-things we use
[he listed
many things...]
we have a few ideas going...
* the icons idea - a list of "medals" that light up when you kill so many monsters or "achieve" something else
* the museum idea - a place in every town to display "extra" Legendary & Extraordinary items
* the app idea - Oskar mentioned an idea about a second AT app?
[something about displaying our character - i need clarification before posting more]
any thoughts or proposals?
If the Museum-function could works as a means to transfer Farmed items between characters, it would be a very user-friendly addition. Otherwise, there would be no need for such a thing.
EDIT: Maybe have the Le/Ex items purchasable for future characters through the museum? (A select few have the patience to re-grind all of them after the insane amount of hours spent. The rest simply won't bother.)
Seeing as it is a one-player game, I'd say it would be fair to add ^^ Had it been multiplayer, then it could be very debatable.
Still +1 on the Achievements!
