I've been adding a few more games to my phone, and many of them RPGs. I still play AT a lot but even I need a little break now and then.
The one I've played the most is Vampire's Fall:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... nav_result
It's free, no ads or IAP (in app purchases), and its pretty fun. The story is you're a vampire trying to hunt down the one that turned you. The movement is simplified - you tap on one of the designated locations and if its a store, you get the store, if its the bar, you get the bar, if its a quest location you enter a fight.
There's weapons, skills, and each level lets you increase 3 (out of 5) stats and you get a skill point too. The character even changes appearance based on the equipment you have on, which isn't always good (sometimes it looks pretty tacky).
There's a few more, and these have the 8bit look, they're not free but also not overly expensive (imo). Some also have a free version supported by ads.
10000000:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... nav_result
Dungeon Ascendance:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... rch_result
Pixel Dungeon:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... nav_result
These 3 don't really have a full story or character building like AT (or Vampire's Fall).

I heard that "forgotten tales" is a pretty good mobile rpg, I downloaded it and played for a little while, but it didn't fit my tastes, but I have to admit it seems like something people would enjoy. I still have it downloaded, and I'm sure I will pick it up eventually, but for now my addiction to Andor's Trail is an unquenchable thirst that cannot be conquered easily.
That just made me think:
Energy Drink: an instant 10hp boost and a x ap boost for y amount of rounds.

Thanks for the heads up on Pixel Dungeon Mino. That is a pretty fun game even if there is zero story.
I had beat 10000000 a couple months ago I think, fun but gets repetitive quickly. Overall though very much worth the $.99 or $1.99 I paid for it, can't remember off the top of my head.
The others listed didn't seem like I would care for them but I may end up trying them out sometime.

Gurk and Gurk II (bought it cuz part I was kickass) are awesome. Star Trader, Cyber Knight (the author of those RPGs has somemore titles), Zenonia2 until 5, Destinia, there is quite some nice ones. Also on my phone (I play most RPG's on my Galaxy Tab 10.1) I have NES and SNES emulator and a crapload of ROMs

but I have played those games so much on my computer (together with my gaming buddy, using an internet connection with Seiken Detetsu, that was fun

) that I do not play them much anymore.

I like dweller for a lot of reasons....first of all, the developer is very responsive and very timely with updates and fixes.....secondly, it has three classes you try out...it is easily replayable...and it is still in Beta, so it is still being developed just like AT. Try it out PK.

I downloaded a few that are supposedly good like 9th Dawn. Bards Tale is well done and funny. I haven't been able to get myself to spend the $ on any of the Final Fantasy games, and their reviews seem mediocre.

I don't know why but I have been stuck on Ragnaroth lately. It is a grinding game and has a ton of issues that need to be resolved but it is still a work in progress (Only get the free version).
The other game that I have been playing is Kingturn RPG. I actually spent cash on this one and while it was good; now that I have beaten it twice, the replayability is gone.
I have played Forgotten Tales for a while now and find that it holds my attention for a little while and then I get frustrated with the bugs that happen over the quests and then I give it up.
Honestly AT has been the only constant game that has been continuously played on my phone for the last 3 years.

Yeah, Pixel Dungeon seems more like an RPG-style action game, but really none of these games are big on story. That's one of the things that keeps me on AT, the depth of story and having to make choices that have actual consequences, both immediately and possibly in future updates.
Some of those other suggestions seem good. I'd heard good things about Bard's Tale before so I might check that out. I've also been playing Yesterday:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... =nav_other
Its fun but the story is pretty dark and there's some cursing so not really family friendly. It was on sale when I got it ($2.99) but it looks like its back to its full $5.99 price now. There's a free version with ads though.

Bard's Tale is known for its raunchy, crass, over the top humor. Definitely an adult oriented game.
