Sarumar we have ventured far off topic here: Let's get back to brainstorming some ideas
anyone have any suggestions for Rare NPCs?
I thought about some kind of "golden man", from which you could buy tremendous items at tremendous prices, like items almost worth the Leg/Ext, but 100,000 gold each.
We could name him... welµ... Oskar

It would be fun to have some create a sprite that looks like Oskar to put in the game.
I can already think of a few people on the forums who might be able to make a good likeness to him.

NPCs who offer you 3 competitions.
Sphinx which asks riddles.
Easy at first for less reward.
And more difficult for more valuable items. Of course riddles should be changed so prevent googling answers.
If you accept next competition and don't answer you instantly die - Sphinx bites off your head.
Terpsichore - which tries you by dance. It could look like moving every second to some tile, not missing one and not standing on wrong tiles. Like dance machine.

)
Terpsichore could lead in dance so you should move after her.

The Sphinx idea is quite clever. Could it ask Andor's Trail related trivia?
"What is the name of the husband that is missing in Crossglen?"
"How many rooms are there in the _____ (Area name)?"
etc.... I think you might be onto something here! +1

I think the game related questions are good, you can make a riddle from the game quest, or adapt existing riddle by changing names to game NPCs.
They also should not be asked straight way but like hints. First you guess what does he asks, and only than finding an answer. Like mother of his son instead of wife, or child of his wife, but not his son. etc. and more complicated.
Also Sphinx should avoid questions answers to which can be found on the irkalla.cz site. Htere are all NPCs and locations.
