It's a shame when teams don't take advantage of players who really know the game so well.

There has been a lot of talks about what happens to players after they retire. I think figuring ways out to get them back into the stadiums (Not on the field but on the sidelines) would be a great way to show players how much the team valued their contributions.

The Packers lost a great asset when they forced Farve into retirement and didn't take advantage of his years of experience. Instead it just lead to tons of drama (entertaining drama! lol) but that is a horse of a different color. =)

Yes and that is another thing that the NFL is starting to take notice of. Players who are too injured to play but also lack the basic skills needed to find a decent job in the normal world after retirement from the NFL. (another worry is when the players are too beat up after their carreer to work, head injuries can really sneak up on a guy and cause major problems)

I forget the exact number but a large number of players have committed suicide because they don't know what they can do after leaving.

Hopefully more players will take the time to finish more college before moving up to the big leagues.

You guys don't get it. To be "in mid-season form" means you are running on all cylinders in respect to how you are running your plays. The team looked to be gelling right off the bat.
Doing so against a great team like Green Bay is even more impressive.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Invent a new sport with the excitement of NFL football, but without the risk to players.

Don't expect a bunch of Walmart shopping, beer guzzling, pickup truck driving Merkins to change for your great idea.
