I'm more interested in that 'more' button. I'm visualizing myself as Dee dee from Dexter's Lab saying, "Ooooo! What does this button do?" The only option I can think of is 'drop'. But why put just one option under a button that obviously leads to more options? So what other options are there for inventory items?

When you long-press an item, you get a pop-up menu with drop and other options. This more button simply pops up that menu from the short-press dialog. No new game feature, just better ergonomic IMHO, as the long-press menu can easily be missed.

In the next release, Info, Use, Drop, Assign quick slot, Move to top, Move to bottom".

Easily missed = Yes.
Had played off & on for a couple weeks.. got up to around level 40 before stumbling onto the 'long-press' item options. Oy. Sure could've used that move to top/bottom.
Then again, Growlers' IQ'z are only about as large as Growlers' feet.

Well, measured in picometers.
Also, to be further fair, Growler's feet are Big.
And awful hairy. Which is not relevant; just a fun fact for the kids.

I am really diggin the new art work. Any way to know a possible release date for update or an approximate time line maybe?

The closest we have is the roadmap in this thread's opening post. When everything is crossed, we'll be ready to roll.

Google play asked me if I wanted to update the version I've downloaded and the name of the upgrade included the word Stoutford. I couldn't read the full name because the rest was replaced by "..." (without the quotation marks).

Edit: I forgot to mention the download I received lacks color in both the HP & XP bars. I made sure I got the one with Oskar's name on it, but these things are inconsistent with what I know to be the current level of progress.

The Google play version IS old. The bar color issue is indeed in it.
As to the "upgrade" you were offered, could you confirm that both your previously installed version and the offered ones are the original ones, made by Oskar Wiksten, and come from Google play?
