As I've stated before, shadow is the absence of light, caused by light becoming blocked. Darkness is the absence of light. Either way, both Shadow and Darkness can indeed exist without light for that is the very definition of shadow.

But nobody can't even see shadow in the absence of light. if there's no light there's no life and if no life who cares about shadow  .

The text here consists of letters. Letters are dark. Shadowing the display light.
Now: What is more important, text or background?

And that text is written by a living being who obtains energy from light.so light is still important.

I agree that, by definition, you can have darkness without light. But you cannot have shadow without light. As you said, "shadow is the absence of light, caused by light becoming blocked", and light cannot be blocked if it does not exist ;)

But shadow and darkness are technically the same thing. Ace, life can indeed exist without light, or have you never learned of the creatures living below ground or beneath the sea where the light never goes?

Ecologists who trace energy and matter flow in ecosystems have identified a number of interesting things. Energy flows from one organism to another as each organism is eaten by the next. These relationships are called food chains. For example, a plant may capture the sun's energy then become food for a deer which may then be eaten by a bear. Each organism forms a link in the chain. In an ecosystem many food chains will overlap to form a web through which energy moves.
So even if light don't reaches to some creatures but the dead bodies with energy from light reaches them.

Nice. In our case, Shadow eats light eats darkness :)
