So, I'm still grinding away for my ring, up to level 23, sith 463 small rocks. Just curious...have the game devs sorted out what they're going to do about the huge disparities in levels of people who either did or didn't grind for the ring, come the next patch?
Asking because, if you just did the current content and called it a day, you could be done by level 10-12 or so. But grinding for the ring (or 2 of them) means average levels between 25 and what, 60? So...any thoughts?

Oskar did state previously that he will not adjust the new quests to the high levels some players did archive by grinding.
The goal is to have a equally increasing quest difficulty to new players. (challenging and not frustrating)

That makes sense...Ironic...if i keep going after this ring, my character is going to be completely out of whack for the next crop of content.

I prefer it that way, otherwise doing all the grinding, not getting the ring, and not even having the added benefit from gaining exp would make the effort not worth it, except maybe the gold and the gold later to be gained from selling gems.
I asked earlier, but since my question's been pushed back, I was wondering who plans to continue trying to get the ring if the new update becomes available, or if you will leave to try the new quests if you don't have a ring by then.

Did you see my new topic?
Extraordinary and legendary items
I think I will go after an Rapier of lifesteal in the new version. (RoL - not a RoLS)

I did see the new topic with the new items, and I hope I get those a lot sooner than a RoLS (which I still don't have), they look really cool with interesting attributes.
But I think even if the new update comes out, this time I will stay in the gargoyle caves until I get the ring since I don't want to deal with going moving back and forth since it sounds like the new quests are on the other end of the current map from the caves.

Now that the update is out, it begs the question.
Do I leave the cave without a ring after 1500+ rocks or keep grinding for who knows how long...

I left the cave and went to the new areas to play them. Now, after completing one of the story lines, I'm back in the cave...
Don't know for how long though as I consider restarting from scratch (again).

You may also grind for the 2 other special items like the RoL or the ElyR.

Yes, I know. I also wanted to try out my new Shadow of the slayer axe to compare it with the Venomous Dagger and I thought the Gargoyle cave was a good place for testing.
