Ok! Sorry if I over-reacted to your post, but since it was a second round of telling me what I had left out of my explanation of the word "witch" I sort of felt "Good grief, people, I'm talking grammer here!"
Actually, I already knew the things you posted, but many people do still link witches with Satanism, so it is probably a good thing to let them know that they are wrong. Over the course of seventy years, I have picked up a lot of stray bits of information on many subjects, as I believe any intelligent person does, and sometimes they are useful, if I can remember them.

For that matter, and fyi, what most people think is satanism is actually demonology

Demonology is the worship of any demon, including but definitely not limited to satan aka lucifer... Satanism is the belief that "I am God"
Just sayin

Lol!

I have a hard time remembering things a lot of times, too.
These forums are definitely more rich for having you on them, Lady Black.

True, its only doing something if it will benifit you in the end, the only reason you would help someone else is if you forsee and way to benifit from it.
I lived with a guy you could say is a satanist.

didn't last long.

Uh, my knowledge is limited, but I am somewhat interested in demonology (dont get me wrong, its like interested of archeology).
My knowledge says demonology is more like of study of demons, not worshipping them. Of course I havent googled, so I could be wrong

Hmmm... Well, it would seem I am either wrong, out of date, or both... According to wikipedia... Lol. Demonology is the study of demons, satanism is either the worship or the emulation of satan/other demons... LOL, I guess LaVey's joke changed the definition of satanism... Oh well

Lol!

The things we can do with smileys.
In all actuality, Satanism is a denomination of Christianity, like Baptist, Catholic, Mormonism, etc.. The reason for this is that Satan comes from the Christian Bible, which comes from Judaism, and is worshipped the same as the Christian God, being a deity himself (although created by that God, like Jesus was created). Christians, Jews, and Muslims worship Satan as a deity, although they wouldn't admit it, ascribing to him the power to affect what people do and blaming him for all the ills of the world and the bad things people can do.
The fact is, there would be no "Satan" without Judaism, Christianity, and Islam to worship that particilar being, the same as there would be no Loki without Odin, no Hades without Zues, and no Osiris without Ra. In order to have a successful human religion you must have a duality somewhere in that religion, as humans have within themselves, whether it be "good" and "evil", order and chaos, etc..

It doesn't matter, aliens are responsible for our existence here anyway. Well at the very least are responsible for our advanced evolution.
