I guess it is my fault for not being able to check this topic as often as I should, but seriously most of the last 3 pages or so are off topic and have nothing to do with the RoLS, if you want to talk about random stuff stick it in the tavern section.

So back on topic...
AT has one of, if not the best in game save features available in Any game, period.

Not sure if this will work but can't imagine it not:

I saved my game while in battle with a g.trainer where he has 2 hp, I have 24 hp and it's my turn (I'll get 2 attacks.)

I keep reloading and killing the same trainer over and over trying for the RoLS drop.

I started doing this yest. and haven't gotten one yet - probably have about 2 hours invested so far. When I get one, I'll post it.

Any thoughts?

I've seen that suggested before, but I think if you're going to spend the time (hours/days/weeks) to get the RoLS then you may as well also get the increased experience, gold, dropped items (the rocks are worth 0, but you sometimes also get health potions, ruby gems, and polished gems).

So I think for all the time you'd have to invest to get the ring, its better to keep killing different trainers and waiting for them to respawn. That way, while you're going through it all, you'll have a chance to level up and get more gold.
