bought in Loneford
Guard's Gloves GoLF
AC 3% 5%
BC 5% 3%
Max HP +3 +9
Depending if you like defense or offense will dictate which you prefer, but for me there just is not enough of a difference in the 2 to go grinding for the GoLF!
What do you think?
IMO it depends on how you like to play, but:
Guards = 2,866 lvl
Golfs = 3,8 lvl
Troublemakers = 2,966 lvl +4% to CC

Frustratingly, without grinding for it at all, I managed to get one as I was passing through.
And that was after having spent days on end grinding in vain for the RoLS and the ElyR.
Oh well, c'est la vie.

There is a big difference between extraordinary and legendary items. Please read the first post.

Yeah, I know.
I just thought it was ironic that I picked up the useless Shadowfang without trying for it. I mean I couldn't have killed more than 25 guardians for it, and then, only because they were blocking my path, hehe.

After the update, I put 10 of my skill points into the Magic Finder (on my main game), and after I finished the quests and got some pretty cool items, I went to the gargoyle caves to try for the RoLS.
Unfortunately, I got bored waiting for the trainers and masters to re-spawn, so I decided to go to the iqhan cave to level up instead. XP-wise its even better than the cabin on the way to BWM since there's so many monsters and the blue and purple robed guys give out 220-250 points as do the chaos reapers.
Maybe after a certain point I'll go back to the gargoyle caves though because the RoLS still has some impressive stats.

when i was trying to get the ring...
every time i stopped playing AT i made sure to be in the cave
two reasons...
if i wanted to play for a min, i could pick it up & do a run - then put it down...
(i left my screen on for ten mins <spawn time> to let them refresh)
if i wanted to play longer... i would leave the cave, play... then go back (rested & supplied)
i LIVED in that cave, hahaha...
eventually, i was DONE trying for it...
and i went to have a smoke, did a run (sarcastically) - looked at my items & BAM RoLS
i thought its existance was a lie! good stuff...

Still no legendary items, but I just got my first extraordinary one!
While leveling up in the iqhan caves, I got a Chaosreaper. I know the extraordinary ones have a 10x better drop chance than the legendary (which isn't necessarily saying much) but still, its great to finally get one of these. Hopefully my skill points had something to do with this since I used 10 of them on the increased drop rate.

keep in mind, there is a possibility...
you could never get one!
...sorry (dice can be mean!)
...even digital ones

Congrats, i got my first one exactly same way - first trying then trying harder then living in the cave and after losing hope got the one ring.
You perhaps want another one too....

I've been looking through the source code, because I'm curious and I have a question.
It lists the drop rate of legendary items as 1/10000 in the code.
But isn't this 1/10000 percent (which would be 0.0001% not 0.01%)
I say this because the rock is listed as 75 for drop rate, which I guess would be 75%.
Where if 1/10000 becomes 0.01% then 75 would become 7500%, which would always give a rock?
Is this correct?
I haven't looked through everything, perhaps the looting code adjusts this somehow.
