By about level 12–15, I usually have more gold than I can usefully spend without doing any farming The devs have done a great job rebalancing the game over the past few years, so if you just do the quests you'll have what you need when you need it without grinding.

It doesn't hurt to swerve and kill monsters by the side of the road while you're moving from one location to another, if only to keep up your cooked meat supply, but there's no point running around in circles any more

Guys the graveyard related to the quest Mine For The Taking has green zombies which drop 200 gold when killed.

Yes, but by the time you're at a high-enough level to survive their attacks. the money doesn't make such a big difference.

Yep but their main use is Exp Farming and gold is a cherry on the top. It is killing two birds with one stone. Farming for gold means less time on grinding Exp but graveyard solves it.
