 ... Be warned gnome can use a lots of stuff and magicall items in combat.... But when the fight is over and you are searching some loot.... you will not find anything worth of picking up. Please do not tell this secred and basic rule of the "evil gamemaster" to anyone.

Though I see where you're coming from, I feel that limiting items would just hamper growth and progress. This game doesn't have a set up that allows for it. I agree that certain items could be classified as "materials" or "ingredients" and not have the same limit as potions, but I don't think the game is there yet and, given that I can't sleep in any bed I want... even in an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere when nobody's looking, I'm not entirely ready to give up my pots.

That having been said, you (the OP) are welcome to impose your own limits. Try it and see if you can play the game that way. Then, report back what you find. I'd like to see the perks and pitfalls.

(OP) If a limit was added to your inventory how do you feel it should be implemented?

Like:
You can have XX different items in your bag
and up to YY of each of those items

If a limit is set on bag make it a weight limit and every Lvl you get xx more weight u can carry

Weight limit would be harder to implement.

You'd have to give each item an indivual weight and then keep track of the total combined weight.

The suggestion i posted just before this wouldn't require adding a weight to each item, and like you suggested the amount you could carry could go up with a skill or at certain levels.

Like at the start you could carry:
Total types of items: 50, Up to 30 of each type

At level 10:
Total types of items: 60, Up to 40 of each type

just an idea of a way to keep it simpler.

I think its a bad Idea reason being us higher Lvl players would lose lots of items

One big problem: Having limited storage would also limit the areas we would be able to create, players wouldn't be able to venture as far from the main cities without needing to stop to sell or drop some items.

Yes, you could keep going, but at some point you wouldn't be able to take everything and would have to start ditching stuff to make space (which would also crowd up the ground in spots you leave things, creating a new annoyance)

IMHO It just doesn't seem to be a good fit in the game. Let them have their "Magic Bags of Holding" and adventure on!
