how about a new skill for Critical Hits then?
they're in some some desperate need of some love too
so let's crush two birds with one stone, eh?

that it ignores the "Resistance to Criticals"
(that undead, demons & constructs get)

That's a great idea! Especially since I'll probably try that new "Two Handed Mastery" skill anyway.
But any chance to replace "Better Criticals" with "More Criticals" on those prerequisites?

Mino, I don't think that would make sense, becuase it isn't about quantity of criticals you get here, but rather the quality of the critical hits you can get in. So, if you have, say, a 100% critical rate for a 2x multiplier, you wouldn't have as devastating a blow in the terms of a single hit. If you consider hits as a single incident, you'd need a more powerful hit to get through the magic of the undead, no a more common hit. Besides, it would be more difficult to have "Better Criticals" than "More Criticals".

But I'd have to say, by the time you're powerful enough for the 7 skill points required for this skill, you won't need it anyway. So, maybe an alternative for better two handed weapons would be to add a value for block chance (because they're so large you can easily deflect blows with them) so that two-handed weapons are the only defensive weapons, or add more two handed weapons with a "berserker" feel. Add more damage, and more AC and a relatively low ap cost, let's say 6, for a negative in damage resistance and block chance, making two handed weapons the best offensive weapons early on.

To be honest I hadn't really thought about it. I was mostly asking because I was planning to have 3 levels of More Criticals so it would be more convenient and I wouldn't have to take any skills I normally wouldn't have.

But you're right, that does make more sense. You're also right that even now I can still kill the critical immune monsters with my regular non-multiplied AD since so far none of the immune creatures have a very high HP. I suppose if there were zombie Arulir, then I probably wouldn't mind a higher multiplier.

I like the idea of the heavy weapons adding to BC though, since even now that's the stat I've put the least of my level ups into.

Intresting ideas here. I still vote that two-handed weapon bace damage shouls be much greater than novadays.

Anyway thanks for Nyktos i got new idea. How about if instead of critical immunity there are new skill (for player and the monster) Resistance against critical hit:
-lvl 1, decreace enemy crit hit damage multiblier by 1, preguisites dodge 1, barkskin 1 and evasion 1
-lvl 2, decreace enemy crit hit damage multiblier by 2,5, preguisities dodge 2, barkskin 2 and evasion 2
-lvl 3, decreace enemy crit hit damage multiblier by 4,5,, preguisities dodge 3, barkskin 3 and evasion 3
-lvl 4, decreace enemy crit hit damage multiblier by 7, preguisities dodge 4, barlskin 4 and evasion 4

sorry I forgot :cry: Thanks for your earlier post about something like this.... This "new idea" pops up so easily. I too feel that absolute immunity is bit boring...
