Yes, the Remgard one a great shield and all - I use it too - but it's not on par with the L/E items or even the better boss-dropped weapons. I will have to disagree with you here wholeheartedly. The Remgard shield and the Wooden Defender are two pretty damn good shields that are well worth purchasing and using.
