No. It was due to picking up my 3rd ring with 12,943 small rocks in my inventory. By the way, you're not the guy in charge of the current Chase Sapphire ad campaign, are you?

What was your rock count when gaining each ring?
I had 640 rocks when gaining the one RoLS I have. I have since collected over 2,000 more rocks w/o finding another RoLS.

Well, I think somewhere back a handful or two pages, I may have listed the number of small rocks I had in inventory upon getting the 2nd ring, the 3rd you already know, and I believe I had somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,700 when I found the 1st. However, a few hundred came from that half dead prisoner in Flagstone I never wanted to kill, but he just wouldn't step aside. You'd think he'd be grateful to be a free man and just bail. Anyway, that's where I made the association of small rocks with rings. So far I've kept every one I've found.

ctnbeh13, what was that about a half dead prisoner in flagstone? How did you manage to get several hundred rocks from killing him?

I'll give you a hint. They didn't all drop at the same time.

hmm, if you mean that one in the corridor past the cells, then he takes forever to regenerate so i dont see how you got several hundred from him! I mean i can get one and then have to go and do other things in other locations for ages before he will re-appear.
Maybe I'm missing something....

I probably have gotten 10-20 from him so I'm also puzzled how u got so many off of him.

Before the Gargoyle cave was available to us, players who started playing Andor's Trail from an earlier version had Flagstone as the best game location to gain experience points for leveling up your character. I personally made a minimum of 200 round trips through this place. Each time I collected one small rock, sometimes two per visit. Eventually I started to notice that the more small rocks I collected, the more a ring of damage +1 or +2 would drop and be found in a loot bag after killing an enemy.

Today the best location for leveling up your character is the Gargoyle cave, especially with the opportunity to pick up a Ring of Lesser Shadow along the way.

I truly hope my explanation helps to dispel each of your amazement at my claim. If it does not, Flagstone awaits your repeated visits to test for yourself if my word is true.

It's believable. Uve been playing for at least a few months, its been 2-3 weeks for me. I'm just mind blown about all the small rocks still
