Is it just me or is there a lack of Americans in the forum?
Per capita we should have many many more than we currently do.

yeah, i was surprised when i noticed how outnumbered we are here...
and in the earlier days i kept finding myself "assuming" that everyone here was American.

such a narrow world view at the time...

:D

i am sure we have a higher ratio of downloads than this would suggest,
it just means fewer Americans register on the Forum & take action participating.

Is there a reason that locations matter as to who plays this game, or is it just out of curiosity?

I'm from the US, btw...somewhere between Redneckville and Insanity 8-)

It doesn't matter in the least. Just surprised and curious.

I think most Americans would fine this game not "flashy" enough to hold their interest. Growing up in the Nintendo era, many friends of mine hated 8 bit rpgs. Twenty-four years later, why would that change considering the many more "flashy" games available?

Well with me at least it is all about content and experience. A lot of the well developed and popular RPG's that are out now are limited and very granular. Some have content that is okay, but severely lack in other areas. Because I actually went to school for game design/programming (even though I didn't quite finish) I have a very great appreciation for games such as this that work more on the playability. I have an even greater appreciation for dev's that stick together for development on projects such as this just because from my experience they burn out from R/L kicking them in the butt. Also, I have personally spent several thousand hours programming solo in order to achieve something, and I understand a bit more than the average gamer about how difficult it is to add content to a game.

I can't comment for other Americans...my wife plays Angry Birds on my tablet for some odd reason...I dislike that game a lot. Soon I am getting her another tablet so I can get that blasted game off of mine. This is pretty much the only game I play on my tablet though, and frankly the only one I have tried mainly because of the screen shots that were put up on Google play...16/32bit 2D rpg's are pretty much the only games I find interesting as they seem to add the level of character creation/upgrading that I seem to be fond of.

If I had the time though I would rather be working on the 2D MORPG engine that I wrote in C# and VB.NET, adding content and not caring that I would essentially be the only one playing on the hosted server aside from my autistic son...since I can never get the time to program anymore I just pick this up when I get a chance :)

Can't beat a pub crawl. I'm into my 80 shilling (a good old fashioned Scottish ale) at the moment although I'm partial to a cider or larger as well.....

Would need to have a Kopparberg in honour of Oskar. Not sure if there are any beers called Andor...
