I'm trying to begin "The Odd Coin Collector", but I can't find Gylew. Has he been moved from his old spot in his camp? The NPC "Gylew's Henchman" is still there, but there's no sign of Gylew. I've also looked all through the surrounding maps, but he's nowhere that I can see.

This is a bug indeed - we will provide a fix for it with the next release:
If you miss Gylew (and you hadn't killed him of course), then he will appear again out of thin air...

I have now completed all the quests so I will certainly no longer be able to obtain this new piece of outfit, however I am really curious: could you explain to me in which mission it is possible to obtain this new piece of outfit and how exactly?

I have completed all the quests in the game so far, including the quests related to the latest release. I also looked at the directory but I don't think there are any monsters that give special or legendary weapons or secret passages... but it seems strange to me so I asked: it could be that I saw wrong.
Why do you think that's strange? You don't always get a legendary or extraordinary item drop in every release.

But there are some really cool items out there from these new quests

I'm currently equipped with: Xul'viir (I think it's the best weapon there is so far), 2 Rols (by far the best rings in the game so far), Troublemaker's glove, Boots of the globetrotter, Dark protector (I think it's the best helmet around), Lightweight splint mail (Lightweight splint mail and Serpent's hauberk are the best armor around I think) and Necklace of Feygard's glory.
Are there any better weapons or armor or equipment than the ones just mentioned?

The "best" it's completely subjective. What you think is the best and when I think is the best and what the next person thinks is the best can all be different and that's what makes this game so great.
