some thoughts:
-Markgift
-Knochengift
-Verdorbenes Mark

I never understood how an item with such a dark name could have so great stats without any negative side effect.
"Verderbnis der Lebenskraft" could be a fitting translation - but again: when I equip a so named item, I expect something sinister happening with me.

Oh, but something sinister did happen in order for you to acquire the item
That may be the only choice in this game that I regret making even if I absolutely love the Marrowtaint.

Indeed, Saru, indeed (if I weren't speaking rhetorical - in real AT life I finished the witch and kept my good ol' JoF).
In German the two words "Mark" (marrow) and "verderben" (to taint) have a strong connotation to the phrase
"verdorben bis ins Mark" (in English you'd probably say "rotten to the core"). Given this (although I don't know,
if there is a similar connotation for native English speakers) and Saru's "cheap soul" remark - would it be a bad
idea to translate the marrowtaint simply "Verkommenheit"?
By the way - since I never saw it myself - does the marrowtaint have a background description?
-------------------------------- edit 23.12.2013 --------------------------------
We also should consider that there is a dialog line "... the Blackmarrow residence in Nor City...",
which is directly connected to the Marrowtaint.
-------------------------------- edit 08.01.2014 --------------------------------
Well, as an interim translation I used "Markverderbnis" and "Residenz des Schwarzen Marks".
Until we find something better...

May the shadow be with you ^^
EDIT: I just wrote a message to Oskar - let's see what comes back

Hey flurgx
Actually translations are worked on launchpad (Would like to post link, but the Forum tells me launchpad.net is blacklisted... - just google "Andor's Trail launchpad").
Just sign in and join translating. With this System you can make suggestions which can be verified by other users just as lot as you like

Very Simple use, but here a little explanation in german
Have fun

@Moerit:
Meanwhile I reviewed all your entries or entered my new suggestions.
Then I continued translating the witches dialogs (she's really one talkative person...)
