Inspired by Stoodge's heroic act of selfless violence and skill; the pawn of reptile kind charges into the eastern flank alongside this mighty hero. Unbeknownst to these anti-amphibian miscriets, pawn is in fact wielding a weapon who's technological advancement will sway the field of conflict and safeguard our kind tadpoles for generations to come. As all sides of the battle field watch in either abject fear or outright wonder, pawn sets his battle plan to work.

Firstly drawing in the poor mislead cretins with a few turns of his Skullcrusher, pawn leads the fools into range, then draws a small leather sling. As the depraved enemy consider the impact a 2AP weapon will have on their ranks as SEVERAL HUNDRED SMALL ROCKS rain down on their leather caps, dealing in excess of 25AD per hit, before the haters have even the chance to accept the combat. All while Stoodge charges into their ranks, recovering more HP from the hater's corpses than they could every take by force.

As the ranks of poor mislead, land locked, dirt eating haters disperse, pawn continues to rain death and small rocks by the dozen on their fleeing souls. Perhaps we've seen the last of them? One thing is for sure, a far more epic task awaits. Returning his sling to it's comfortable place aside his belt, pawn charges off to calm down Stoodge. Hopefully his berserker rage can be quelled by a little frogmeal, hopefully, for the haters sake.

//know only to pawn and his close friends, he's secretly hoping that lady black has noticed his deeds today. He has a weak spot for a well read, experienced woman.

frogs are the future

That was a truly impressive display with your sling, last_pawn. I believe you have saved the day, and perhaps all of frogdom. At the very least, you have won us a breathing space to relax and catch forty winks before the enemies of the frog can regroup and return to battle. Very good work, my friend! All frog lovers owe you our thanks.

*Stoodge bursts through the door, heads straight to the bar and downs the nearest tankard of mead. With both his rage and thirst quenched (for the moment at least) he pulls up another chair*

looks like the frog haters are on the run. But tell me? Did any of you get any good loot? Don't tell me the drop chances for these followers is as high as the fabled legendary items of grinding. I'm getting a bit tired of useless vials and pretty stones.

There are whispers on the air that new regions will soon become traversable, however what awaits the bold adventurer and the mighty deeds and acts of valour to be achieved are still shrouded in fog. Needless to say that once the roads open up, I for one shall be chomping at the bit to search for new gear and splatter some new breeds of grotesque beasts.

*raises tankard*

To Adventure, the harsh mistress waiting for all those brave and foolhardy enough to seize her.

The narrator speaks: "Many a war has been won or lost from the lack of, or abundance of incorrect information. Being an expert in only hitting things, this insignificant pawn is unsure how do deploy the resources of espionage; but he does know an opportunity when it arises...

...as he stumbles across the outskirts of town, no doubt in search of a quiet place to sleep off Sarumar's generosity, a small pawn notices something that shouldn't be. Who owns that cloaked face? he wonder's to himself. His thoughts momentarily drift back to that conversation at the corner table...

"That was a truly impressive display" she'd whispered. Was she referring to my exploits on the battlefield or some part of the evening I can't remember? "relax and catch forty winks" she'd confronted me with in her husky voice. By the Shadow! if only I'd had the sense to realise it at the time, that charming woman commands the only bedroom for miles! Never mind, perhaps I did realise at the time and miss-negotiated myself into being evicted from the tavern, again. Grasping for focus through a Blackwater brew induced haze, pawn struggled forward, like a child trying to solve a puzzle.

Suddenly sober as the evenings memories hit pawn like a skull crusher, he remembered more quickly than he could think it. A feint, a secret meeting, a devastated mill, I'm here! Somehow pawn had tracked a masked figure to his secret rendezvous, all the while wondering where his next bed would be. Unfortunately his distraction had prevented pawn from garnering any useful information from the two shadow's exchange, but it did not matter. That was not part of the ploy.

At that moment, on the edge of the dim nights haze a frightful tumult was arising, as ten light horses stormed into a group of frog attackers, poised for mischief. Wow, did I organise that, or was it another? Never mind, it's time to act. As pawn began a swift run to where he knew the waiting archers; Mikhail, Jan and Unnmir would be, he overheard the figure exclaim "We're too late!" as his Shadow of the slayer cleft the messenger in twain.

Hitting the company of haters from the opposite flank to the light horse, The Commander of the Archers of the Frog began a comfortable volley of stones, arrows, bolts and exploding potions onto the stricken enemy; all the while waiting... "I hope those Priests are on time..."

Frog war,

After the frog lover's strategic meeting in the corner table. Sarumar was the last one in the table when suddently there are familiar face in bar....
Piggy the Slayer wrote:
How too frog lovers travel from the caves to Loneford without even acidently stepping on the odd frog.

Long time no see Slayer. Please have a seat and I explain some thinks to you.

Roughly divided, there are two kinds of frogs:
1) Animals they behave in accordance with nature
2) intelligent frogs who act as they wish.

Animals typically attack if you stomping around of their nest... Try to avoid making any harm to them. And when you shows your colour the Intelligent ones become you alliesor enemies..

The Frog himself understand some casualties, but strongy recommends to avoid killing anykind of frog.

As a high priest of the frog i personally sacrifice some living thing in altar of the frog everytime if our ally murder a frog.

So... *Sarumar lays his hand on the shoulder of slayer* Slayer spots a strange greenish color of the skin and long sharp nails..

Are you on my side..

As the sounds of battle can be heard in the distance, Athena of the frogs gathers her troops, the small, brightly-colored poison dart frogs. They hop into the large transport baskets (the one-inch frogs cannot hop so far on their own,) and Athena loads them into the waiting war chariot. As they approach the battle, she pulls to the side of the archers, then passes behind them, pulling closer to the rear lines of the frog-enemies position. There she stops the horse and sneaks forward as near to the tents as she can get without being spotted by the guards. There she releases the frogs from the baskets, murmuring a reminder of the mission: enter the command and supply tents and rub the poison on their skin onto all the foodstuffs, dishes, cutlery and--perhaps the most important--the rims and mouths of all the drinking vessels and bottles, wineskins and kegs that they can find. Although the poison of the frogs is most effective when introduced into the bloodstream through a wound it can also be absorbed through the skin and/or the mucous membranes, such as the lining of the mouth and throat. Fighting (and directing a battle) is hard work, and those engaged in the combat get very hungry and especially thirsty. As the troops rotate to the rear for a breather and food and drink...
The small, deadly frogs return to Athena as their poison is all expended (temporarily, they will quickly make more,) and hop into the transport baskets. Athena quietly retreats to the war chariot and returns to report their successful mission, and to wait. Soon cries of dismay arise from the command tents and rear lines of the enemies of the frog as several generals and many troops discover that their muscles will not obey their brains, and breathing becomes difficult... There is no antidote for the poison of the poison-dart frogs.
