True, shadow cannot exist without light, but neither can light exist without shadow. For without shadow there would be no need for light. As for darkness, it is only distinguished from shadow when referred to metaphorically. The darkness within his heart, the dark places of the mind. But darkness is the absence of light. A shadow is also the absence of light. The difference is merely the cause of the light's absence. Shadow exists where the light is blocked. Darkness exists where light is simply not there. Ergo, shadow and darkness are the same, just for different reasons, meaning that darkness is merely a greater shadow. When it gets dark outside it is darkness. Its not because someone turn off the sun. It's because we are in the shadow of our world. In space there is nothing but the light of the stars. We can't see it only because the light is consumed by the depths of space. Only with obstacles to reflect the light can we see it. Thus, confinement is the way of the light and the freedom of eternity is the dominion of shadow!

I agree darkness is everywhere but light is not. but to live you need light not shadow.

Actually, you need Vitamin D which your body makes from the light of our sun... not necessarily the light itself. Light permeates the depths of space. If it did not, we would not see other galaxies in our sky. So yes light IS everywhere. But so is darkness. The two cannot exist without each other.

But at least, lemme know if you like the portion you quoted as a statement in and of itself. I'm proud of that one line... I believe I'll use it as my next character quote!

Well, seeing as y'all are strugglin so much defining the shadow, I'll wait 'til y'all implode. Then things will be back to normal, dw
