Not that simple.
Artwork is never "open source" as there's no source code. Most are released under a CC-BY-SA license, but some aren't. Some include the "ND" clause, preventing us from altering it.

I could also go on to remind people that Andor's Trail is more than "Open Source", it is "Free Software" or "Software Libre" (because it's free as in speech). And this freedom is IMHO way more important than the availability of source code. The freedom of the software is the only guarantee we can have to maintain freedom of the user.

https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/open-sou ... nt.en.html

Artwork, on the other hand, does not threaten the freedom of the user. There's no need to check if a PNG is going to snoop on you. In this respect, I would agree to include artwork in AT that is licensed as CC-BY-SA-ND-NC for example. CC0 and Public Domain are also welcome obviously.
For other cases, the explicit authorization of the artist must be obtained, for example with a special "licensing deal" (an email that says "ok, use this one as CC-BY-SA-ND for your project" is enough IMHO, but IANAL).
good heads up there & thanks for the link Zukero!

something good to read with the morning coffee...

wouldn't hurt to brush up on the topic!

Is that a tattoo on the left arm and torso for the male character? Or is that the shadow slowly consuming him? Seriously, tattoo or shadow?

Sounds, good to me! But perhaps those who choose to side with Feyturds would feel differently.

AT is a series of decisions, so the battle is really in the mind.

You should read the 'Fey' of Feygard. Geomyr is a stank stud, but follows in the footsteps of a divine ordinance. And my male character (to be on topic) has steadfastly decided on staunchly rejecting the shadow. Read here what I think of it all -> viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5446&p=51666&hilit= ... +at#p51666

when that witch made me kill innocent transformed [but dangerous] people,I really hated shadow and killed her. But it doesn't mean I support Feygaurd.
