Medieval does not have to mean Gothic. Here are many examples:

Here's an interesting one:

Where do you see gothic? I see caligraphy of a pre-gothic nature.

But I still think my first one is the best:

OK maybe different shadows...

I was referring to your comment that you were looking for fonts like nyktos' F and G.

Too "light" for me. The world of AT (Dhayavar

) is a harsh place. Monsters all over the place, warring factions, etc.

That's just coloring. I did it in that color because it works with nyktos' background for the title page without bringing too much grayscale into the visual. But the color can always be changed.

I like the lettering, but it is not perfectly suitable. Also, I suggest the title not be wrapped, but on only one line. It's up to the artist though!
Great idea, nyktos.

I did it on two lines so I could enlarge it without having to alter the image dimensions. No need to nit-pick such details as Nyktos and I were only attempting to find a good font first, then come up with a refined title.

I disagree. The overall impression comes from the font, the coloring, and whatever else is done beyond that.

That's what I am trying to say. It's not that I don't like it (in fact, taken out of the context of AT, I do), just that somehow for me it does not fit with the world of AT.

I really like E, but AT does not have magic involved. I also really like G, that "T" for Trail looks very cool.

All this is just reiterating what Nyktos and I had agreed upon: I'm going to draw something by hand and then scan it, because our fonts just aren't cutting the mustard.

Agreed on that

. A font with a color is a solution, but I don't believe it will be an optimal one. It's a necessary starting point though.
With that, I'll leave you to it. For a while anyway

. I'm hungry.
