Competition is good to stimulate productivity, but it decreases team spirit.
Something I like in this community.

+100000 Exactly! You got the point! The "damn you, you killed me. I hate you..."kind of thing would arise.

Don't fret TomTom! Ideas do get shot down from time to time.

I agree that this isn't something that would fit well into A.T., and would be nearly impossible to balance in any way because of the over leveling of some players and newer players.

The main reason this idea isn't going to fly is that it would require a place for everyone to upload their stats (Which would cost extra $$$ for the devs) and would then require extra permissions when downloading the game (Which can drive off new players)

Keep posting your ideas (But do a search first!), We are *ALWAYS* looking for the next big idea for Andor's Trail!

Happy hunting!

I don't think a player versus player would be a good idea; simply because there's no way you can actually be good at this game other than through grinding. And if you really wanted to see who's best, well, you just have to look at Sarumar's signature.

Most PvPs are addictive because the players genuinely have to think on their feet to win each match; in Andor's Trail, the player wins, not by virtue of superior action RPG skills, but by grinding and strategic usage of equipment and skill points. So, why should there be a PvP at all? If it was simply for comparing skills, then you could do the same just by posting your stats on the forums.

Also worth noting is that PvP would mandate the need for something to prevent or detect savegame hacking. Can you imagine going up against a player that's modified their game file to have 1,000 skill points in Hard Hit?

Is it just me or did Hard Hit change from being +1 AD to being +2 Max AD? I was looking at my stats the other day and wondered why there was such a discrepancy between my min and max damage and turns out HH is the cause... I am was are all the disapoint :(

I realized I wasn't quite clear with my previous post but I think you're correct anyways. It changed from [1+ to both minimum and maximum damage] to being just [+2 to maximum damage]? I'd prefer a [+2 to both min and max damage] but oh well :(
