Sent to Oskar. We'll see what he says...

I actually love the idea of using the woodcutter on a quest to change a map. But I think another spot might be better, just because I think that Fallhaven should be linked to the road already when you start the game. Big town, big road...Antison wrote:I would almost prefer a quest centric implementation. The woodcutter needs the work.
Okay Tom. As long as I get mentioned in the credits for the quest.Tomcat wrote:I actually love the idea of using the woodcutter on a quest to change a map. Maybe the White Cabin needs its path cleared? I could drop in a couple of extra trees...
Idea for the woodcutters clearing a tree idea: There are a bunch of trees just south of where you find the woodcutters and the space directly below that treeline is still unused... maybe the woodcutters could be the way to get thru to a new area (to be developed later)?Tomcat wrote:I actually love the idea of using the woodcutter on a quest to change a map. I gave my reasons for preferring the straight path, and the entire process took me all of twenty minutes, so ease was not a big factor.sorrow wrote:You know an easier fix would have been to remove the rock and create the road there so you pass the cabin and bypass having to mess with the graveyard.
I know Oskar's word is law, but did he give a specific reason why he wants it isolated? Does he have something planned? Or is it just so we can garner exp while traveling?Tomcat wrote:I gave my reasons for preferring the straight path, and the entire process took me all of twenty minutes, so ease was not a big factor.sorrow wrote:You know an easier fix would have been to remove the rock and create the road there so you pass the cabin and bypass having to mess with the graveyard.
However, Oskar nixed the entire idea. He wants to keep Fallhaven isolated from the road.
