If the amount of Gold a player has was to appear for a brief moment I think it could be a great addition. To see your gold currently you have to open the menu and go to your inventory. The lower left hand side of the screen could be a good place to put a simple indicator that your gold collection has increased.

I would have to see some sort of mock-up to really say if this should be added or if it would clutter the screen up.

Pyro ill take your idea one step further y not add total gold to victory screen because that's when you get more gold for example

^^^^^^ I like this much better than putting the counter on the screen.... just tie it in with the loot dialog box.

In the options you can set your Loot Display to
Show Short Display.

It will tell you "You survived the encounter, You gained XX gold, XX Experience, and XX Items"

My thought was something like that but just shows your total gold whenever it goes up.

Well it would be up there nearly all the time for only a few monster don't drop gold. Putting it in the victory box you get the same affect it just wont be displayed all the time ish

So what you want is the loot dialog box to tell you what it normally says, plus tell you your new total of gold?

I'd rather see the simple total pop up and disapear in the corner with your new total... this way your gold will be also displayed when you complete quests or sell items too.

Either way it would work. There are more then one way to skin a cat.
