I can't help but think that it seems a little on the mythological or magical side, and Oskar mentioned a while back that we were never supposed to see real magic performed in the game... We are only supposed to have heard of it, and we can all believe that no magic exists in Andor's World.
The rats the witch makes you kill, for example, could have been a mind game that the witch invented, and the five idols quest she sends you on which seems to curse the villagers could just be lathered with poison. Vacor could be mad, and there could actually be no magic or Gods at all in the game.
Anyway, it seems like a nice idea, if only we could make it a little less... magical? Or invent a possible logical explanation for that?

But there are weapon effects and actor conditions that seem hard to explain without magic. Like life stealing...

The point is, I'm not sure if this sits well with the overall theme. Life stealing is one thing, but this is quite another. If we really must go that deeply into logic, technically no child would be able to kill wild boars, there wouldn't be undead skeletons, and drinking substances made from bones would not increase your pain threshold.

There's one logical explanation, in AT's world there are only 4 types of atoms: fire, earth, wind and water. All of the molecules are build on these.
Sometimes some dimensions are "spawned" with mainly one type of atom rendering this dimension a "fire/earth/water/wind" dimension.

I must agree that the legendaries (especially "Wave" the quarterstaff) have some strange magical powers but I think that in world filled with skelettons, demons and human-sized frogs having a magical staff (which is legendary, it's not a common item) doesn't really shock.

Yes, but that would involve a lot of science to keep players from jumping to the conclusion of magic in Andor's Trail. Andor's Trail is not a distorted Science Fiction thing either. What I am suggesting is a minor change to the world, something that allows it to retain its purpose as a quest, or a series of quests, but doesn't involve turning this into a whole saga about the old gods versus the new god. I'm not opposing its creation; I'd love to see this implemented, but I fear that something on this grand a scale will affect the game's focus and main storyline. We started off with a quest to find our brother, and until Oskar or Sdevaney gives a go ahead, I don't think we should say that the gods exist. Right now, we have very little evidence of their existence, other than some fanatical followers and some strange and powerful weaponry that people named after these gods. I think that it was made on purpose so that we would never find out whether the gods exist.

Just my two cents, I'm not trying to browbeat anyone into changing anything, so, please don't get the wrong idea. I thought I should bring up a potential problem, I'm not trying to stop a good idea.

I mean Vacor tried ripping a hole through space.

You think so, but that was never shown in AT. That quest had no impact on us for now, and we can keep pretending that the Shadow, Kazaul, Elythara, et.c. do not exist, and only their followers are active. Really, this should be continued in another thread.

Guys, we are way off topic...
