I've got ideas for both of these weapons that are good and different ways of using them.
Like I said these are just basic ideas !
hmmm... im not sure about introdusing "good" and "evil" shadow... how about if instead there are fanatic (those like poisoning the well) and believers (those who believed that shadow will protects and guides them).

???

That sounds better :D don't want it to be a star wars lol but ye the believers :D and the non believers :evil: is better !

Possible stats for weapons.
Dagger of white shadow=
Ap=5
Ac=25%
Ad=3-5
Bc=5%
When used in conjunction with the venom, the blade is smeared with the poison which causes a chemical reaction to the dagger which is made out of a metal which is unknown (from the gods maybe) the venom therefore takes on a new formula that only works on this unknown metal.if thrust deep enough the dagger will send the monster into complete paralysis rendering it incapable of combat allowing you to kill it without taking damage.each bottle of venom will last you 20 rounds so use it wisely
Dagger when equipped with venom
Ap=10
Ac=25%
Ad=8-10
Bc=5%
50% of direct hit causing paralysis
Maximum 20 rounds per bottle

If you side with the wizard
Dagger of black shadow
Ap=5
Ac=25%
Ad=10-15
Bc=5%
CC=×2
Equipping this dagger will render all shadow regeneration (if you've got Rols) and any other healing qualitys to do with the shadow ineffective

I like the idea of the quest and that there would be a powerful weapon but with limited use. It would really force you to think about when to use it, maybe save it for some bosses.
