The older quick slots would show/hide at the push of the treasure chest button. Now the quick slot opens up and you have to select the quick slots and then they pop up. I don't like the slots to always be open because I don't want to accidently use a potion when I am chasing down an imp.

I really like the map and don't want it to go away (and while I don't like to complain about something unless I have a fix for it) I have no idea how to have the map available and keep the quick slots so that they can be toggled quickly.
in the past, you could open & close the quick slots with just one tap...
but now they hang out there when the box closes - unless you tap to close again.

[the additional tap feels slower to some of the older players]

but, it's still early in the UI development...
there will be a lot more happening in our toolbox than just the map & quickslots.

[changing fighting styles, swapping gear sets, projectiles, endless possibilities...]

we want to have these new options available,
but also keep players happy with quick & intuitive controls.

this is where brainstorming pays off,
anyone's idea can just pop into the game...

some things are easier to fix than you think,
conversely - some things that seem like easy fixes are actually pretty rough.

here's to random, wild suggestions!!!

Some other options:

Move the Map button to a tab inside the Character button.

Shorten the HP and XP bars and add a new button for the Map on one end.

Make this new button a Menu button to contain the ”slow” options like the map, while ”fast” options could be added to the Quick Slot pop up.

Make a new row of buttons above the current bottom row (buttons and bars) , configurable to move to the side. This makes the playing screen smaller, but avoids extra taps and interference by overlays, like the current Quick Slots.

Great minds think alike, it is said, and that fools seldom disagree...

To get back to topic, I know that it would be nice to have a one-tap way to swap back and forth between equipment sets, but I think it shouldn't be possible to swap everything at once *during combat*, with effectively no AP cost.

I disagree I think that you should be able to do so at no AP cost with a skill.

Add a skill that allows you to do so that will do so at Half AP for the first level and 0 AP at level 2. Someone insert witty skill name below. I was thinking stripper but maybe not so much?

With a skill, perhaps. Not just because we added a button, though.

Quick Change?

There is a lot of gear to switch which if you were to change equipment now it would cost you 40AP in total. If this was to be built into a skill (Love this idea btw) i think instead it should just cost you one turn (you'd have to have Max AP and the time, and it would use all your AP)

It is quite a lot of work to take off and put on armor.

I love how in movies (ie: lotr) the war horns start ringing and everyone is already wearing like 4 layers of armor, I highly doubt the whole army is walking around in battle gear all day every day. That armor should have taken them 30-45 minutes to put on.... maybe the eagles put the armor on them haha.

Actually knights in mid evil times rarely took off their armor at all. They pretty much lived in them.

I don't blame them, have you ever tried to put on a full suit of armor? It's a tedious 2 person job that takes quite a long time. (I have done this, trust me)
