Interesting idea... I myself enjoy grinding the way it is.. I don't even use magic finder... But this helm could be useful to those seeking fast exp as well...

As for cursed items, more gear like blackwater gear would be interesting too...

the grinding helm itself though im not to sure on, but the idea of unidentified items (cursed or enchanted) has always been one of my favourite parts of RPG's. find a sword and its a sword, but an unidentified one???? oh, the possibilities. :twisted:
you could always have he items identify for free if they are equipped but if they are cursed then you CANNOT remove them until a priest identifys them...

just kicking around ideas.

I am not a fan of "Hidden" cursed items. They take away fun in a measurable quantity from me. And skills are WAY to precious to add another "Must Have" skill.

sounds like a D&D game I was playing where i annoyed the DM and ended up getting a cursed
armor (which lead to my eventual downfall) :lol:

Interesting idea. Think it could randomize game even more, which personally I like Chaos. Then again I am a wacko from Waco... so maybe I am biased.
Here are my ideas for such, one for each kind of equip-able item and a potion. Names in ( ).

Cursed shield (Gamblers Chance): DR+2 if you successfully block & DR-3 one if you fail to block.

If dual wield comes about then
Pole arm (a double ended, double sided blade, handle grip in middle) sword (requires two hands) weapon (Blade of Desperation): 5-10 AD with a chance of doing 3 damage to self if not properly swung (In other words, chance to hurt self)

Cursed Necklace (Venomous Voracity): -1 health per round but +1 AD (constant) and +2 health for a kill

Cursed Boots (Waited Trainers): No flee ability but +1 AP

Cursed Helm (Pointless Ponderer): -10% BC but -1 AP Cost

Cursed Gloves (No Slip Grips): +10% AC & BC but +1 AP

Cursed Body (Dark Dragon Scale Mail): +3 DR but +4 to movement and -15% BC

Cursed Potion (Full Speed to Dead): Like the Minor Potion of Speed except instead it's +4 AP for 5 rounds and -1 DR for 10

Sorry i need to ask about Cursed Gloves (+10% AC & BC but +1 AP) ...IMO there is typo and you mean " -1 AP"... ?

I like your attitude and love the idea of curced items... but IMO curced items should have more "lethal" affeckt to player than those you already suggest :twisted:

Maybe mine should be viewed as something like new version BMW equipment except with their own trade offs.

Thanks again, I just like being involved in things. Plus... I think it'd be awesome if something I came up with was in a game. A way to be immortalized.

ahh.. then you and your ideas are just in the right place... Devs of AT are intrested of any inputs... so keep on posting any of your suggest and questions as well... and there are good chance that good ideas will be part of the AT...

btw IMO abot my opinion.. they are just my opinion and IMO...
