Taledus, it's mostly for the leg/ext items as well as to make it so if you have a level 200 char that you've put hundreds of hours into and all of a sudden they make a change to one of the skills that your char relied on it won't take "as long" to rebuild your char (a new one) back up to lvl 200 with all of your leg/ext items intact.
Obviously, having a "skill reset" option is a valid alternative but I believe that idea was suggested before and denied so I wanted something else that would still require work but not be quite as game-stopping as having to completely rebuild your character from scratch.

Rebuild main character ...

... I will not do it even with +500 % exp bonus.
Ihave picked several "wrong" skills, but it does not bother me. If I like to try new kind build, I just make it. It is much easier (and faster) to build second (third, etc) build.

Do the math first for that +500% bonus, you might be still interested Sarumar

My new character has the same HP already as my level 180 did. Just cant find a single L or E item. Not that I need one. Just want to get that damage up 100+. Great to be able to choose skills more carefully and plan in advance.

+1 to Keep L/E Items when starting new characters.
I also haven't found a single piece yet.

I really like this idea, but I also agree that the devs are probably against...

There is a way... start a character ( spend sp' on IF only) do no quest anf get all the L/E items... this way you can start a new build whenever you want without having to regather any of them.

Agreed, my second build is like that (although I practice all skills I deem useful, not only IF) and level 15 in the Wolves' Den. Going to grind for RoLS at lvl 20.

Or you could try what i am doing... obtain L+E items while still at level 1.
