As far as I can see, this is the situation.
-Feygard vs Thivesguild.
-Feygard vs Shadow.
-Kazaul vs Shadow.
-Kazaul vs Elythara.
-Elythara vs Shadow.
Then, this is how the people ally the, selves with the gods, defiles goddesses, and the law.
Nor city & Vilegard ally themselves with the Shadow.
Backwater ally themselves with Kazaul, defiled of the temples.
Feygard & Crossroads Guardhouse ally themselves with The law.
Fallhaven, Loneford, are both torn in half with two loyalties. Fallhaven struggles between thieves guild and the law. Loneford struggles with the Shadow and the law.
Crossglen and Prim are neutral.

Nice!DarkSavant13 wrote:Here's my idea for faction based equipment. I think the equipment should be quest based, with specific quests given by those individuals that only talk to you if you have completed a faction, Shadow or Light, based quest.
I think that the equipment should be named for the faction it comes from; ie. Shadow's Scimitar of Darkness, Shadow's Mail of Illusions, etc.. While I can't bring the Goddess of Light to mind right now, the evil wench, I feel the equipment of Light should be named for her.![]()
The equipment should be of extrordinary to legendary quality, with magical enhancements on each, but with extensive, difficult, and costly quests. I also feel that you should also make the quests start only at higher levels, if possible. It should be the type of armor you would like to own at level 100, a sort of collectors set.
I would list sets of equipment myself, but seeing as I am only lvl 15, lol, I'll leave that up to those of much more experience than myself.: P

you could make the dark/chaos factions boost offensive abilities while the holy/law based factions boost defensive abilities. or weakness to one but strong vs another like paper rock scissors. With a high level area for each maybe??

Re: Faction Based Equipment
The Shadow, or the chaotic, is not really offensive minded. And factions are not as simple as they seem. The Priests of the Shadow give the best defensive rings in the game (ring of the protector) and also the best defensive necklace (Necklace of the protector), and for defensive players these are worth even more than the legendary items. So the Shadow goes for defense.Xero wrote:

Feygard gives the best all-round equipment, and most of their equipment only serves one of either two functions: defense or offense. So, Feygard goes for all-round.
My point being that the Shadow should not give offensive equipment, and Feygard shouldn't go for defensive equipment. Although it is true that the Shadow tends to give powerful trinkets like rings and necklaces while Feygard goes for combat equipment like swords and shields... maybe we should focus on that instead, like the Shadow gives powerful trinkets and Feygard gives powerful swords and shields and armour.

Re: Faction Based Equipment
Yeah. Thats something I didn't know. I was just assuming based on most games. How dark or evil type gear boosts offensive abilities and light or holy type gear will boost defensive stats. Which makes sense because chaos alignment normally acts aggressively while lawful character tend to defend the weak ect.
I still like the idea regardless. Its cool because if you make your alignment one way or another and the equipment is a set that gives bonuses it will make for further character customization.
Character customization is a big plus for me

Equipment Sets
Some equipment seems like it belongs together. For instance, the Blackwater Mountain gear. It would be excellent if there were several sets of equipment, and the character gained some sort of distinction when wearing it (stat-based or otherwise). For instance, perhaps if the character collects an entire set of Blackwater Mountain gear, he/she can fool the Blackwater Mountain Settlement into believing he/she is one of them, even if siding with Prim.
Other examples of equipment sets could be a set of Kazaul armor where monsters devoted to Kazaul ignore you unless you specifically initiate combat with them. Perhaps a set of equipment that draws Kazaul-worshipping monsters to attack you (like you are a beacon to all monsters on the map).
