I have holidays on my list for Uttarayan festival in India

Sounds like it is time to wish you "Happy Holidays." Can you tell me more about the festival? I am ashamed to admit that I know so little about the Hindu religion that I have never heard of the Uttarayan festival. (And that is making the assumption that this festival is Hindu, when it might be associated with one of India's other religions, instead.).

I hoped very few would know about this.
It's fun here on 14-15th January everyy year.
We fly kites day and night and try to cut each others kites
there's music everywhere on terraces from DJ

you should google for some pics.
Also, Indians in USA also enjoy flying kites there sometimes.

As far as I know only thing I know about its cultural aspect is that it's related to sun.

That is the exact reason why i have always wanted to see India myself. One day i hope to make it.
