I don't think the game is too hard, but I think there is just too much grinding. I spend about 2 days for my GoLF and it was a pain.
How about an increase of droprates in easy mode, but with the sideeffect, that the stats are not as great as in hard mode.
This way everyone would get the items, but hardcore grinders would be rewarded with better ones.

Just a hint: grinding is completely unnecessary in AT. If you're grinding that means you're trying to get a legendary or extraordinary item and the game is beatable even without those items. Thus going for a leg/ext item is completely your choice and should not affect how you rate/review the game.
On a side note, I would suggest that one of the changes to the Hard mode would be to remove leg/ext items entirely since they're really only there to give grinding a purpose. The hard part to making a hard mode is in avoiding making it an RNG slugfest. It should still be possible to defeat monsters that are within your level range consistently even if you have to be fully geared to do so. The key is that attacking monsters outside of your level range should almost always result in your death. That way you're forced to pick and choose your enemies carefully.
Likewise, an impossible mode could simply follow the same numbers as hard mode but if you die you'll be dead and have to start a new game. Makes for an interesting challenge.

I like the idea of impossible mode being a no do-overs version.
You would have to beat everything in one try, saving in this version would be the key to success.

You could also make save points in the impossible version. That way you can't save and reload if you die.

I disagree. At least in the beginning of the game, it is really necessary to grind for flesh. Buying potions and food slows gearing up down in a way that is horrible.
And as I like the ideas of a hard and a impossible mode, I think there should be something for the ones that are just quite above casual

True! I spend most of my time early on in the game grinding for money, food, and gear. It's not until somewhere around lvl 18 that i stop caring about my income (usually because at that point i have all the gear i need).

difficulty modes have been discussed, and might be implemented...
but that's at the tail end of the development process.
possibly even post-production.
(just an f.y.i. on the topic, as it has been resurrected)
feel free to brainstorm though,
because this thread will likely be brought up...
IF the implementation seems possible.

Idea for Easy mode:
For the first 10 level ups you get double stat increase and skill points.
Hp: +10
AC: +10
AD: +2
BC: +6
At level 4 and 8 you get 2 skill points. Then after that the game would play as normal. The extra stats right off the bat should make the early stages of grinder a little easier.

Not a bad idea, but I have a hard time thinking of the game being easier when I think it should be more difficult.

Not everyone is a seasoned Rogue RPG player, easy mode would also be god for people who have lil ones who would want to play.
I agree that a hard mode should also be put in, but neither are very important at the moment.
